OUR SPACES
IF THE ARTS ARE A VEHICLE FOR
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, MYAC IS A VEHICLE FOR THE ARTS.
INSIDE MYAC
MORE THAN A BUILDING
The access MYAC provides to high-quality, affordable performance and rehearsal space has allowed partner organizations to grow and flourish, and, because of that, increase their outreach and support of low-income youth and families.
In 2021, MYAC and its partners completed a community campaign to renovate and expand the 101,000 square foot Mardak|Vanderberg building, nearly doubling capacity and bringing the total number of available rooms to over 30. Additional space to the MYAC facility now includes several large rehearsal spaces, studio rooms, practice rooms, MYSO and First Stage’s administrative offices, as well as a music library, costume shop, and storage space.
All program space features state-of-the-art soundproofing and acoustic paneling.

LOCATION
PARKING
A limited number of spaces are available in our parking lot on the east side of our building (enter on King Drive). Additional limited parking is available along the adjacent streets. After school hours, Milwaukee Youth Arts Center students may use the Milwaukee Public Schools lot at the southwest corner of 4th Street and Galena Avenue.
Please note that if you are dropping off or picking up students, we strongly recommend against driving into the parking lot to do so. "Stacking up" curbside along 4th Street and around the corner onto Walnut Street allows you to safely drop off or retrieve your student immediately in front of the Mardak|Vandenberg Building main facility entrance.
